About Utility Works

Utility Works is a 7,500 sq. ft. art studio building located at 32 East Baltimore Ave. in Lansdowne, PA. Our Space is home to 23 artist studios, a hot-desk co-working area, a MakerSpace classroom, a ceramic studio, an art gallery, and a juice bar.

Utility Works, provides low-cost access to equipment, space, technology, and professional development for artists, makers, and entrepreneurs. By strengthening Delaware County’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, LEDC can assist early-stage makers, creators, and entrepreneurs in launching and growing in this region. Utility Works offers co-working spaces to the wider community and studio space memberships for working artists.

The County of Delaware received $110,083,961 in American Rescue Plan Act funds and has allocated them in alignment with the goals of the County community. Areas of priority include improvement of public health, counteracting the negative economic impact of the pandemic, and making critical investments in water, sewer, and broadband. The $1,434,853 in new grant awards will support the following projects to address critical issues and needs in Delaware County, and will be in addition to the $369,435 second-year grants provided to 11 nonprofits receiving multi-year funding. The Delaware County Arts Consortium (DCAC) is a collaborative of cultural groups working to advance the economic vitality of the nonprofit arts and culture community and promote the value of cultural resources to the local community. Experience the arts in Delaware County, from the nation’s first community theater, to professional musical performances, ballet companies, distinctive galleries, history museums and thousands of classes for people of all ages.
